Queensland Concessions and Rebates

Residents of Queensland (QLD) can take advantage of various rebates offered by the Queensland Government to alleviate the burden of energy bills. These rebates, which are financially supported by the state government, cater to different circumstances and include:

  1. 2024-2025 Cost of Living Rebate: Coming in 2024-2025, Queensland households will get $1,000 of their electricity bills. This will automatically be credited to residential customers; there is no need to apply.
  2. Electricity Rebate: Queensland pensioners and seniors may be eligible for the Electricity Rebate - $372.20 per year (GST inclusive). If you hold a Seniors, Pensioners, Health Care, Veterans card or have Asylum Seeker status, you may be eligible for this rebate, information found here.
  3. Home Energy Emergency Assistance Scheme: This scheme is for Queensland households experiencing troubles paying their bills. If you hold a current concession card or are on a payment plan, you may be eligible.

For more detailed information on these rebates and how to apply, residents are encouraged to reach out to the Queensland State Government by calling *13 74 68 (a general enquiries number). Alternatively, you can find additional details by visiting the provided link.
