If I am in credit, will my account be direct debited?

If you're in credit with your account, it's understandable to wonder whether your account will be direct debited.

The answer, in short, is no.

When you're in credit, it means you have a positive balance in your account.

This is shown via a -$ in front of the balance on your invoice. So long as your issued invoice reflects this then you will not be directly debited.

This may happen when you've paid more than what you owe, or if you've received an adjustment or credit to your account. In such cases, you have enough funds available to cover your Energy On invoice. Hence, you won't be direct debited if you're in credit.

It's important to keep track of your account balance to ensure that you're not overpaying or receiving more credits than necessary. While having a credit balance can be good, as it means you have extra funds available, it can also tie up your money and prevent you from using it for other purposes. Therefore, it's advisable to monitor your account balance regularly and adjust your payment or budgeting habits if needed to avoid having too much money tied up in your account.
