Residents of Tasmania (TAS) can take advantage of various rebates offered by the Tasmanian Government to alleviate the burden of energy bills. These rebates, which are financially supported by the state government, cater to different circumstances and include:

  1. Annual Electricity Concession: This concession is a daily discount to eligible customers as a cents per day rate of 172.434 cents per day ($629 a year). This Concession is eligible for Pensioner Card holders and other Services Australia cards.
  2. Energy Bill Relief Fund: This Relief Fund is a $250 payment of electricity bill rebates per year, for two years (for 2023-2024 and 2024-2025). You can check the Concessions Tasmania website to see the eligible cards. You can then fill out the linked form here.
  3. Supercharged Renewable Energy Dividend – This is a once off payment of $250 for residential customers and $300 for small businesses, aimed to assist with cost of living. Embedded network customers need to fill out the form here.
