  • Residential: 
    • Peak times are 3pm - 9pm every day 
    • Off Peak times are all other times
  • Small Business: 
    • Peak times are 9am - 9pm weekdays
    • Off Peak are all other times.

    • Peak Period: 4pm to 9pm daily
    • Shoulder Period: 9pm to 9am daily
    • Off-Peak Period: 9am to 4pm daily
  • Business:
    • Peak Period: 10am to 8pm weekdays from December to February
    • Off-Peak Period: All other times.

Time of Use Definition
The Peak Period

From 2pm to 8pm on working weekdays during 1 November and 31 March (inclusive) - The "summer months"; AND

From 5pm to 9pm on working weekdays during 1 June to 31 August (inclusive)  - the "winter months".

The Shoulder Period

In simple terms, the shoulder period applies from 7am to 10pm every day, except where a peak period applies during that period.

 

Specifically, it applies:
 From 7am to 10pm on all weekends and public holidays

on working weekdays in the summer months:
 From 7am to 2pm; and from 8pm to 10pm

on working weekdays in the winter months:
From 7am to 5pm; and from 9pm to 10pm
 On working weekdays in spring and autumn, from 7am to 10pm

The Off Peak Period

All other times, for example 10pm to 7am

    • Recordable time periods (AEST or AEDST)
    • Peak: 5pm - 8pm weekdays
    • Shoulder: 7am - 5pm, 8pm -10pm weekdays
    • Off-Peak: All other times (10pm - 7am weekdays and all weekend, 10pm Friday to 7am Monday)
    • *Public Holidays are treated as a normal day
  2. Basic Accumulation Meter
    • Peak: 7am to 9am and 5pm to 8pm weekdays
    • Shoulder: 7am to 5pm, 8pm to 10pm weekdays
    • Off Peak: All other times

Endeavour Energy

  1. Peak: 1pm to 8pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays
  2. Shoulder: 7am to 1pm and 8pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays
  3. Off-Peak: 10pm to 7am, Monday to Friday and all day weekends and public holidays

 

South Australia

South Australia Power Network

  • Residential:
    • Off Peak: 1am to 6am
    • Shoulder: 10am to 3pm
    • Peak: All other times
  • Small Business
    • Peak: 5pm to 9pm local time on all days during November through March
    • Shoulder: 7:00am to 5:00pm workdays November to March, and 7:00am to 9:00pm April to October
    • Off-Peak: All other times
       

Tasmania

  • Residential
    • Peak: AEST Mon-Fri 7am–10am & 4pm-9pm (ADST - Mon-Fri 8am – 11am & 5pm to 10pm)
    • Off-Peak: All other times
  • Business
    • Peak: AEST Mon-Fri 7am–10am (ADST - Mon-Fri 8am – 11am)
    • Shoulder: AEST Sat-Sun 7am–10am (ADST - Sat-Sun 8am – 11am)
