Setup Fees
Energy On does not charge our customers to set up Direct Debit by Bank Account or Credit Card.
Direct Debit of Bank Account
There are no ongoing fees associated with Direct Debit of Bank Accounts.
Direct Debit of Credit Cards
There is a flat 1% Credit Card transaction fee (Visa/Mastercard/Amex).
Payble Direct Debit
There are no unique fees associated with Direct Debit with Payble. As with Credit Cards, you will have a 1% Credit Card transaction fee.
Direct Debit Dishonour Fee
Regardless of payment method (bank, credit card or Payble) if an account is Direct Debited and it fails (either due to insufficient funds or an error) you will be charged a Direct Debit Dishonour Fee. This is $4.95 including GST and will be charged once per failed transaction and is outlined on our Fees and Charges webpage.
As a note, Payble will retry a failed transaction 2 business days after it fails, and this can accumulate Dishonour Fees. If Payble lets you know a transaction has failed, we recommend you suspend the service (done through Payble) to ensure you don’t pay more Dishonour Fees than necessary.
