Setting up Direct Debit by Bank Account or Credit Card is free of charge!
Direct Debit of Bank Account
There are no fees associated with Direct Debit of Bank Accounts.
Direct Debit of Credit Cards
There is a flat 1% transaction fee associated with Direct Debit of Credit Cards (Visa/Mastercard/Amex).
Direct Debit Dishonour Fee
Regardless of payment method (bank account or credit card), if an attempt to Direct Debit occurs and fails - either due to insufficient funds or a setup error - you will be charged a Direct Debit Dishonour Fee. This is $4.95 (including GST) and will be charged once per failed transaction. This is outlined on our Fees and Charges webpage.
Please note, if you have set up Direct Debit though Payble, a failed transaction will be re-attempted 2 business days after it fails, and this can accumulate Dishonour Fees if the attempts continue to be unsuccessful.
If Payble lets you know a transaction has failed, we recommend you suspend the service (done through Payble) to ensure you avoid paying more Dishonour Fees than necessary.
