2025 Power Saving Bonus

The Victorian Government is offering a $100 Power Saving Bonus to customer households in embedded networks who hold an eligible concession card.

 

To apply, you will need a recent residential electricity bill. 

 

Applications can be submitted on Victorian Energy Compare website: 

https://compare.energy.vic.gov.au/ 

 

Here are some step by step instructions you can follow:

1. Once on the Victoria Energy Compare website, Click "Read more" as shown below highlighted in blue.



2. Click the Submit a $100 Power saving Bonus Application button.



3. Scroll through the terms and conditions and then click the tick box for "I have read and agree to the terms and conditions" and then Click Next.

4. Select Enter Information Manually

5. Under Retailer, select Other Embedded Network

6. Continue entering the required information, and then click Next.

 

7. Concession Details

Enter your concession details, scroll through the terms and conditions, tick the box to provide your consent, and then click Next.

 

8. Payment Details

Please nominate your preferred payment method. Once your application is approved, your payment will be made using your nominated payment method. There are two options: Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or a Bank Cheque


9. Review your application details, then tick the box "I confirm the details above are correct and that I am authorised to provide them’.

Then click the ‘Confirm’ button.

 

Supporting Documentation

Upload your electricity bill to support your application.

Click on ‘Choose a file’, select the file and click Submit your attachment’. The box will turn green wheuploaded correctly. Then Click Next.

Identity Verification

Read through the identity verification information and select a document type to verify.

Proceed to enter the details of your chosen ID type.

Read through and scroll to the very bottom of the consent for data sharing. Once you have done this, you will be able to tick the box that states, ‘I consent to DEECA to use the Document Verification Service (DVS) to verify my identity.’

Once you have ticked this box, the ‘Next’ button will turn green. 

Click on ‘Next’ to proceed.
